Wedding Thank Yous

I photographed the nicest couple recently!
I am still editing their images.
They recently asked for some shots they could use as "thank you" notes.
Sure!
I emailed them these 4 shots of just the two of them.
Out of the hundreds, I choose the ones that conveyed the feeling & look of the entire day.
I want to thank this lovely couple for allowing me to shoot such a great afternoon!

Ashfield Fall Festival

Spent a wonderful chilly Autumn day in the Hilltown of Ashfield.
The trees were all colored in thier glory, and the kids had a great time.
Mommie did, too.

Trash The Dress Romance

I was expecting to photograph a standard Trash-The-Dress session on the beach with a recent bride.
It ended being a romantic portrait time with the newlyweds.

I drove to NYC to photograph in his folks' backyard, Brighton Beach.
It was a rainy Sunday, two days after their wedding day... which I photographed.
The downpour stopped JUST as we were going for the short stroll to the boardwalk.

The session was a fun, barefoot time running and kissing in the waves & sand.
It lasted for about an hour.
It was a great time for the couple to just be together after a long weekend of parties and plans.

This is one of my favorite posed shots of them.
I shoot my formals in a less-than-formal way, in the documentary way.
I was a photojournalist at a local newspaper for many years, so this is my style of shooting.
I feel it is the nicest way to do any portrait or wedding.
It shows off the folk as they really are.
No forced smiles, or uncomfortable looks.

Thank you for the invitation to come along on a very special afternoon!

Family Portrait-90th Birthday

I fell in love with this big family!
They are ALL talented, and beautiful and funny.
Grandpa, the concert pianist, was turning 90.
Everyone gathered to celebrate, and be photographed.
They wanted to be outdoors, but it rained.
I thought...
...why not gather around what Grandpa plays, the two grand pianos?
And I got some wonderful. documentary, intimate images.
And Grandpa got to play...
...a lot...
...more then he has had in a while, he told me, after the 1 1/2 hour long session.

Love them.
